The GEL-KAYANO LITE 3 running shoe is designed with sustainability in mind. At least 50% of the shoe's main upper material is made from recycled materials, reducing waste and carbon emissions. The sockliner is produced using a solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to conventional dyeing technology.
The shoe features GEL technology cushioning that provides excellent shock absorption, and FLYTEFOAM cushioning made from organically derived materials, including cellulose nanofiber, a bio-based material. This lightweight foam has been added in the forefoot to create a more energetic rebound at toe-off.
The 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION feature is designed to address the gait differences of male and female runners, reducing overpronation and providing better foot support.
